Deuce Hogan & Tyler Goodson's Mom are Reading your "Toxic" Posts & Tweets

Speaking of toxic posters...maybe it's time for you to retire the word PornHusker. It's stupid and childish
It's their identity in the Scott Frost era.

And actually, its Child PornHuskers. Please get it right.

Parents of recruits need to know the culture that exists in Lincoln and "child Pornhuskers" is their culture and is their identity.

You can try to push that narrative but no one is listening. Meanwhile you post the words "child porn" repeatedly and look ridiculous

Does Deuce realize he won't be tweeting after he arrives in Ia City? And I have not seen a single negative comment directed toward Tyler. And the OP links as much negative stuff about the program and especially former players as anyone on here.
Glass houses
Like the TJ Hockenson thread? What's negative about that?

The Noah Fant thread? It's common knowledge that his blocking is a liability. Kirk Ferentz knew it; scouts knew it; the Broncos know it. It's a fact. And his fumble cost the Broncos big time in the loss to the Packers; the Packers quickly scored a TD after his lack of ball security. Again, that's a fact. You call these 2 issues being negative BUT it's what everyone else sees in Noah's game.

Yes we do need to axe all the posters who constantly make pedophile jokes about Penn State, since they're up next this coming Saturday.

Thanks for reminding me. :)

P.S. Let's see how well that goes over with some of the more stubborn adults on this board...............

child PornHuskers.

Scott Frost named a player charged with FELONY POSSESSION of child porn a CO-STARTER. And you have no problem with that. You are pathetic.

This is their identity, like it or not.

I didn't say I have no problem with it. But the problem here on a hawkeye site is that you bring it up constantly and it makes you look mentally handicapped. And sorry no it isn't their identity

It’s apparent Iowa has their share of emotionally intelligent deficient fans. People who come on to these forums and claim to have all the answers and claim doom and gloom after one loss are comical. I wonder if they analyze themselves with the same level of scrutiny.

And he scored a TD last week which you gleefully latched on to. You create a dozen threads per day then change the title of them as events unfold contrary to your original narrative. You look for quotes from people to confirm your narrative.
Fant did nothing during his Iowa career to warrant scorn and contempt from Iowa fans. The coaches were enamored enough with him they put him on the field as a true freshman when he wasn't physically ready to contend with B1G-caliber players. He was and is a receiving TE. When the thousands of people who draft their fantasy teams choose a TE, they don't do so for the guy's blocking accumen. They choose guys who catch passes and score TDs. The league works the same way. Not a single skill player is drafted in the first round because of his blocking ability, Hockenson included. Wieting is probably a good blocking TE (he showed good tackling skills yesterday). Where do you think he gets drafted?
Oh, and my last point. The criticism of Fant blew up after Mack manhandled him and got an easy sack. Go back and watch the Bears/Vikings game last week and see how easily Mack toyed with your tackles, Reiff included. He is one of the most dominating edge players ever. There isn't a TE who ever played the game that can handle Mack.

Incredible.

You are probably too mentally retarded to remember, but try. I know, I am asking A LOT.

Remember when Scott Frost as a player hid in a closet and did not come out because he was a coward?

And now he names a player charged with FELONY POSSESSION of child porn a co-starter.

Wake up, idiot.

This is Scott Frost. This is their culture. This is their identity.
You post about it so much it's becoming your culture. I wonder if anyone in the state has typed the words child porn as often as you. I'd watch out obsessed message board guy - the FBI might need to deep scan your online activity

You create a dozen threads per day

Yes he did score a TD last week. That is a fact, too. And I included it in the Fant thread.

What's wrong with facts? Why do you have a problem with them?

And stop the lying. You said I create a dozen threads per day. Please point out the 12 or more threads I created from yesterday and the 12 or more from the day before. List those 24 or more threads from Sat and Friday or just admit you are a liar and not worth anyone's time.

Of course, they are right - and they are just sticking up for the Hawks. Good for them.

I don't think it is the criticism of the Hawks that bugs some people, it's the anger and the personal attacks. I have always found it odd that fans that sit and watch games can get so angry about it. But, whatever.

Bad day for the Hawks - lots of folks on the offense didn't perform well. But, I find it interesting that there are very few (maybe zero) threads about the defense, that was amazing yesterday!

If I was a player or parent of a player, I would simply stay away from social media.

Preseason, most would have taken a 4-1 record after 5 games. Most expected 3 overall losses w/ this tough schedule.

Shit happens in games. The other side has highly paid coaches & good players, too. And having 111,000 cheering for you helps a bit, too.

And, yes, Koerner & DJ Johnson were extremely impressive yesterday. The D giving up only 10 points was impressive, too.

Should read Texas, LSU and other southern schools fans social media after a loss. Iowa doesn’t even compare.

I was about to say...

Unfortunately, this is the way things are in 2019. I wonder if we can name ONE major fanbase that doesn't overreact and spit vitriol on social media after an ugly loss. Ohio State, Notre Dame, Texas, Oklahoma, LSU, Flordia, etc. etc. etc. You think these fanbases don't freak out on social media?

Is it right for us fans to do it? No. Is it right to single Iowa out for doing it? no.

Every fan-base of a program who has had a modicum of success and suffers a horrible loss like we did yesterday reacts like this.

This is major college football, and we have a proud program. We just put up a terrible performance in a nationally-televised game against a very high-profile program. It doesn't get much bigger than this.

It's not nice when your child is the target of it (I haven't seen anyone bashing Tyler Goodson), but if you can't handle the criticism, then you don't belong.

Can’t handle the criticism? Sad world we live in. Criticizing others for doing something way better than we could.

You don't have to wonder, you know the answer as well as I do. Thats the thing thats most sad, is NONE of these people would appreciate or put up with the kind of crap thats posted here about these players or coaches, nor would they welcome someone disecting every little detail about the work they do. Yes I know, they know what their getting into, right.

Yeah I tend to stay away after losses. Not that I have a need to be "rah-rah, everything is great" but really what is the point? To complain about the performance of college kids?

People will call me a shill and I'm far from that. It's the coaches' job to get the team prepared. They are fair game. But for fans calling players garbage on here get a freaking life. Still a lot to play for.

In the end, Iowa wasn't good enough yesterday. Basically Michigan won the game because the 3 times the ball was fumbled yesterday, they recovered all of them. Don't know what the odds are of that happening, but it did. For as much grief as Iowa's offense is taking today from our fans, I would argue the Michigan's offensive performance was worse.

Basically Iowa can still win the West if the offense can be better against good opponents. We get to find out if that's possible next weekend.

The players should stay off social media after a loss, and should especially not engage with the fans.

It’s a no-win proposition.
i follow Kakert, Leistikow, Emmert & a few others. I remember last season Connor congratulating Patrick about something. A fan said something negative and Connor tweeted back to that fan and some media members retweeted Connor's response.

Remember when Zach McCabe engaged with an irate fan after a loss? That did not end well, either. He deleted the tweets but not before some media members got screen shots of them and then shared those screen shots on Twitter.

Did Fran penalize Zach for that? I can't remember....

I know Fran hates Twitter but he knows the players want it....

Thanks for some realism Dodger. I told my wife the same thing when Michigan recovered all three of those fumbles. Those were too evenly matched teams with very good defenses, and sputtering offenses, yet today the narrative is that Michigan has righted the ship and Iowa has somehow fallen off the flat edge of the earth. Funny how these narratives gain a life of their own.....

N'western's O looks terrible but dang, their D looks legit. The last 2 games their D played very well vs Wisky and Debbie

And Wisky's D always gives us fits. 3 lineman and one LB (but which one and from the edge or from down the middle?) always coming. And playing there? I hope its an 11 am game!

KF, BF, and Polasak need to get it figured out.

Some nice players on defense, beyond AJ. Golston was active. Nixon moves well for a big man. DJ gained some huge experience on the road. Hope Stone stays for his senior year.

Fire everyone! ;)

2 very good defenses yesterday, for sure.

Yeah if Iowa would have ever managed to get a lead and put Michigan in a situation where Patterson had to take any chances, he was a turnover waiting to happen. As it turns out, it was Stanley and Iowa who were the turnover waiting to happen as a result of playing from behind.

Remember last year when Patterson was the missing piece for Michigan to finally win a B1G Championship?

And Harbaugh, being a former QB himself, was going to be the perfect mentor for him.

What happened? He looks average, at best.

Crazy to think that Michigan last won a B1G Title 15 years ago. And the streak will soon be 16 years because they aren't winning it this year.

16 freakin years. Wow.
