My question has always been if R's ever believed their outrage. It's an outrage arms race, like do they have to top D's outrage with their own?

All over the world. in every country about 1/3 of the people actually want a strongman authoritarian ruler. They just have to lie enough to get enough other people to join them.

I'm sure Trump put his hand on the bible but just like last time (Jan 2017), it meant nothing to him. Even though he's a convicted felon, he did in fact get his "stay-out-of-jail" card today. That's all he really wanted.

If you look at the video in post #5 it is clear that he did not. Maybe Melania's fault for not putting it in a better spot, but I agree with your thoughts.

Im going to save my disgust and dismay for the more serious and upcoming violations of norm, decorum, and law.

Always thought the "swearing on the Bible" was a bit silly. Especially since he has already proven his words and promise mean nothing.

I'll just eye roll and say "its already started". Exhibit #2 on Day 1 is him having them take down the newly installed portrait of Gen Mark Milly.

Roberts started the swearing in before Melsnia was there. Hence the no Bible issue. She arrives late with the bibles accordingly. if you care about actual facts watch the video and read the actual accounts of the error.

It's not the question of the D's being outraged, I don't really think most care. The hypocrisy is if a Democratic president did not do so he would be attacked as the anti-christ by the very same people that love this man.
