It is also Iowa State's last co-championship conference title in football, with Nebraska in their old Missouri Valley days.



Yep, Iowa also beat Iowa State in Ames 20-7, in 1912, in the non-conference. Iowa State lost two games that season, both to members of the Big Ten.



Like 2019, Iowa hosts Purdue for homecoming.

Anyone remember how close Purdue came to destroying Iowa's goodness during the 1985 season?



The Hawks were #5 heading into that game in 1985 too!
