First SDC I've watched in ten years and it was great.

I had no idea who the 4 guys were but they could throw down.

I had to watch each one like 10 times just to figure out what the hell they doing. The ball control is sick

They both had amazing dunks but Gordon's two with the mascot spinning on the hover board and the other where he went under the legs and dunked left handed were more impressive than anything Lavine did. They both just kept tying at 50 though and eventually Gordon started running out of ideas. The dunk that he lost on still should've been a 50, it just didn't seem as impressive compared to the dunks he'd already pulled off. Gordon should have won.

You guys are putting way too much though into a contest where Shaq is judging it.

If ya'll are really that concerned with it being fair get rid of the "celebrity" judges.

So I never saw a "poster of the year" thread this year... Might have just missed it. But what you did here Funky Bunch is nothing short of amazing and you have my vote for 2016. I was planning to google this and there they were!

Holy macerole.... The dunk under both legs might be the best I've ever seen. His chin is consistently over the rim for all his jams - just increddible. Dunk contest had been lame since Vince won, but this was pretty special.

Why don't they raise the rim of the NBA to 11'? I'm not impressed by these guys dunking at 10" when your average high school kid can do it.

They've moved the three-point line back, why not raise the rim?

for the same reason the football field isn't 150 yards long, or base paths 120 feet from each other.

Then they would have to raise the roof.

Best dunk contest in a long time.

I still say Vince Carter in 2000 was the best performance ever. Just ridiculous.

You're not impressed by humans jumping over other humans, crossing the ball through their legs in mid-air, and executing a dunk on a 10' hoop? Really?
It's debatable, but I could concede that an average high school kid can dunk. But there are not many, if any, Wade Lookingbill types at any level pulling off the athleticism these two did in the dunk contest.

It would mess up their shot too much.

I agree with you on the athleticism, however, I just think the rim is too low for modern day basketball players. Theses guys are taller and can jump higher than their counterparts 20 years ago. It just seems keeping up with the times and adjusting things to the people who play the game today.

There are only a small handful of players today dunking more easily than Dr J did. The only reason he didn't do the things they did last night is because no one back then thought of doing it.

I don't think the average high school basketball player can dunk. At least here in Iowa. I bet there's less than 10 posters who could. StevenPatrick is out as volleyballs don't count.

When they moved the three-point line back, that most certainly messed up their shot, but they adjusted and are now sinking shots way past the line.

They would be fine, IMO.
Um, no. Moving the 3 point line is simply a matter of distance. Guys were already shooting out there. But raising the height would alter every last shot for every last player. You can't have people spend their entire lives cultivating a shot specifically designed for 10 feet, but then suddenly change that.

The only thing I think they need to change is the size of the court. Give the players more room to work with. The distance between the sideline three and out of bounds is comically small.

I would like to see them back go to 4vs4 instead of 5vs5. I just think the floor isn't big enough for 10 athletic men who are often huge.
