The Hawks celebrated the 1989 season (100th in the program) with a disappointing 5-6 season. Fry had lead Iowa to 8 straight bowl games, only to be home for the holidays. Iowa rebounded in year 101!
Last year, Iowa finished the 125th season with a disappointing 7-6 season.
Fry in years 15 and 16 at Iowa also was home for the holidays. Year 17, he lead Iowa to an 8-4 season with his biggest bowl win over Washington (though the 1982 Peach Bowl win was likely his best bowl win at Iowa).
So, how will year 17 be for Kirk Ferentz?
