Once again we look bad on national tv....fans around the country got to be wondering how we are ranked so high, or whether the B1G is really all that good if we are/were the first place team.

Over rated. This team is good, but not great. Too many lapses and disappearing acts. Tonight it was Jok.
Stop. Indiana blitzed us with 3s and great rebounding to start the game. They got so many points on scramble plays, desperation heaves at the end of the shot clock, and were unconcious from the FT stripe. We went down 16, took the lead by 3 or 4, and then IU ratcheted up. We missed a lot of shots we usually make, were terrible from the FT line, and that was all she wrote. They did a great job on Jok even though he got his. Gessell stepped up but our bench was a no-show, outscored 25-0.
I wouldn't say it was a disappointing loss - everyone expected this loss at the beginning of the year, and even after our nice run, most everyone chalked this game as a likely loss (including Vegas). A win would have been nice but we didn't get blown out, we didn't look outclassed, we got good shots and executed for about half of the game. We just lost the 1st and 4th quarters.

It's one of the toughest venues in the country to play in. Iowa is legit and tonight Indiana proved that they can play with anyone. Iowa still controls their own destiny for at least a share of the big ten title. Disappointing outcome, but after sustaining the barrage in the first half, I thought they played well. Rebounding was clearly an issue, but they haven't rebounded well out of the zone all year. They'll work on it and be better next time. I still think 16-2 and a deep run in the NCAA is realistic.
Just need to come back and pound the goophs.

If we rebound in the first half and make more FTs, this was still a winnable game. Just couldn't get shots to fall after we took the lead.
True but not overrated based on body of work. Who's better? And don't give me the talent card. It's just a year up for grabs and we're not the best, but one of many involved in that conversation.
15-3 sounds about right....but no B1G title unless MD collapses....GREAT YEAR that hopefully sees us making at least a Sweet Sixteen run.
Agree. I don't think they were necessarily overrated either. This is a year where there is very little separation between #1 and #15. Or even #20.
Look at all the losses teams in the top 10 have had. Many of them to unranked opponents.
