Disaster Food

I was talking with some folks about hurricanes and tornadoes all of that and one mentioned they’d read about how Walmart sells a ridiculous amount of strawberry pop tarts when a hurricane might affect their area.
So what food item, that isn’t a necessity, do you purchase when a disaster is heading your way?
If I knew a tornado was going to hit my town I’d leave, it if I couldnt I’d stock up some ritz crackers and peanut butter.

 

[The Tradition]

We used to have "Hurricane Potluck BBQs" after the storms. Basically, everyone cooked everything they had that could be cooked on a grill before it spoiled, and the neighborhood had a big feast.
