DJ Wislon goes 17?

That guy?

Over TJ Leaf and Ananouby? What in the f×ck were the Bucks thinking?

I really like DJ Wilson and thought he was sneaky good. Was very impressive when we played them. He has a more developed game than OG and OG is coming off an ACL. Leaf is solid but I'd take DJ over him.

As others have said DJ is what we had hoped Dom Uhl would be.

I understand OG with the injury, it's a risk reward but no way in hell is Wilson better than Leaf. Not even close.

Wislon wasnt even noticable half the games he played. Leaf was a beast when he went up against teams like Kentucky.

The Bucks are banking on his potential as a tall shooter. Really weird pick IMO.

Much better fit for the nba than Leaf. Wilson has Myles Turner type potential.

All I know is I turned in my Lakers fan card once they drafted Lonzo Ball. Not because of the kid, but because of his idiot father.

You may be correct between Leaf and Wilson but I think Wilson has good potential.

That sucks you can't like a team because of a player's dad. Lonzo is fun to watch too.

The NBA draft has nothing to do with how good of a college player you were. It is all about what type of potential you show while you are in college. The guy from Gonzaga was drafted 10? wasn't even a starter and didn't play huge minutes. Leaf is slight of build for a big guy and doesn't look like he will add much more in the future. Wilson looks like he could add 30 and still maintain his athleticism

Wilson is better shooter.

I don't recall Leaf playing any defense.

Maybe you will be proven correct in your Leaf over Wilson assessment, but I don't think it is a sure thing.

Leaf shot around 10% points better from 2 and 3. So no he is not a better shooter.

Leaf is two years younger so the "potential" argument is weak.

So Wilson "looks" like he could be a better player at some point despite it not currently being remotely close.

If they went head to head right now Leaf would dominate.

What was Paxson and Guy smoking picking the Finland guy over the Collins kid from Gonzaga?

Josh Jackson to PHX will be the best of the first 4 picks. That guy is crazy good and plays D like a beast!

Wilson's wingspan is 7'3" compared to 6'11" for Leaf. For the Bucks, it's all about wingspan.

Wilson adds to the Bucks' length with his 7-foot-3 wingspan — a stretch that matches those of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Thon Maker. He's a player, who like multiple others on Milwaukee's roster, defies positional designation. Wilson, who went though a late, four-inch growth spurt, projects as someone who can play in the post at both ends – including offering solid shot-blocking instincts on the defensive end — and is comfortable making plays on the perimeter, either with his shot or ability to put the ball on the floor.

“Positional versatility," Horst said when asked what set Wilson apart. "When we looked at D.J., we saw a player that we felt could play the four and maybe some days he could play the five. He has the offensive skillset to play the three, so we really see a lot of positional versatility with D.J.”

Thats what happens when you fall in love with measurables instead of actual talent.

How many players make an impact in the nba that didnt really make an impact in college in 3 years?
