I saw a segment on Wisconsin a couple weeks ago about how they lift before games because it “gets the nervous system going”. Wisconsin rarely starts a game flat. I’m curious if this might be the reason why. Did Kirk maybe implement this last week? ;) We seemed to be at our best from the start.

I don't know but you can do some heavy 1-2 rep lifts the morning or the night before to prime the nervous system. I know Iowa track and field does this/used to do this.

Wisc has played much better in the 2nd half of most of their games compared to the first.
- They were down 10 - 0 to Utah St early and tied at 10 by halftime.
- Nearing halftime only up 21-14 on Florida Atlantic
- down 10 - 7 to Northwestern at half
- only up 7 on Neb at half....won by 21
- they were losing to Indiana after the 1st quarter 7-0, led 14-10 at half; but won the game 45-17.
