Perhaps the most amazing aspect is evident in the Reddit Herman Cain Awards, where folks lap up these memes and comments from folks like Desantis, refuse vaccinations, end up in the hospital, on vents and then resort to GoFundMe's for the funerals.
And instead of any anger or resentment toward the folks who misled them on vaccines, the common fallback is "Now he's with Jesus" or "It was God's will" or "We cannot ever understand why God answered our prayers this way"
The GOP certainly knows and understands the psyche of the people they are duping.
The same blind allegiance to religion provides the party leadership a free pass to overtly lie and mislead their own constituents with pretty much no risk of responsibility.
He's just trying to excuse his ineptitude in letting nearly a million tests expire in a warehouse. Bigger fools are those who turn a blind eye to these things and continue to support him.
