Do you still call your old teachers "Mr" and "Mrs"?

This probably applies more to people who grew up in small towns. If I ever go home and go to a high school event or something, I'll run into some old teachers and coaches and always call them Mr, Mrs, or Coach even though I've been out of high school for several years. One of them told me jokingly, you know my name is "______ right"?

Does anyone else still do this? I've always seen it as a respect thing, as well as just an old habit.

I live across the street from my old high school math teacher and I call him Mr. xxxx. He always tells me to use his first name but I can't do it. He will always be Mr. xxxx to me.

Good lord, if I never saw any of my former teachers again, it would be too soon. Wack jobs, one and all.

How is that pronounced?
