UNITE HERE is striking against hotels all across the country. Workers at the DoubleTree and Hilton hotels at the Seattle airport walked off the job today. The strike at the Hilton Hawaiian Village has been going on for more than two weeks. Workers are also striking in San Francisco, Boston and other places.
Although Hilton is making most of the news, the union is agitating against Marriott and Hyatt, too.
It doesn't seem like the hotels are bending to their demands. Is the union blowing its wad for nothing? Can the hotels outwait them? Who blinks first?
