Dodgers or Mets?

Mets IMO. They may fare better vs power pitchers than Kershaw/Greinke. Also, less travel.

Didn't the Cubs sweep the mets earlier this year?

I believe they were 7-0 vs the Mets this year. If I were a Cubs fan I'd want the Mets. If I were a Cubs fan I would have wanted the Cubs to start playing again right away. They're on fire, hopefully this little layoff doesn't cool them off.

it's three days, not a week

Baseball is a funny game. Especially when you play damn near everyday from April to October. The only good thing about the layoff is extra rest for Arietta and Lester.

Both the Mets and Dodgers have managers who will not
be back next year. It really does not matter since the Cubs
can beat both of these teams. The Dodgers actually
have 2 ;proven studs in their rotation with Kershaw and
Greinke.

Well I guess I'll just take your word for it. The Tigers have went from hot to cold from the ALCS to the World Series. Swept the ALCS only to get swept in the World Series. We'll see how the Cubs fare

Now you're catching on. I watched it happen twice in the last 10 years. each time we had a week off. Before the playoff started though we had three days off.

BTW, I would rather play the Mets too I think, would have a real bad feeling to have to face the Dodgers. Why I am not exactly sure.

You want the mets because they don't have greinke and kershaw. They have lots of young, good pitchers but none have thrown a ton of innings so the hope would be as the stage gets bigger and innings pile up they tire and let up 4 instead of 2.

I'm just happy to be here. Just to be different I'll say the Dodgers.

Honestly, I think it's a toss-up. Mets offense is lightyears better than the Dodgers since the All Star break. So is the Cubs. While the Cubs didn't see Cespedes and David Wright, neither did the Mets see Schwarber or Baez, and only one of those series did they see Soler as he was on the DL. Greinke, or deGrom, and now Syndergaard as well, will not be available until at least game 3. Dodgers #3 and 4 pitchers are garbage though. I like the matchup against either, and I like any Arrieta matchup against Kershaw, which would likely be the scenario in game 2 should the Dodgers advance.

I'm not concerned about the layoff. KC had the same scenario last year (even longer layoff since they swept ALDS) and they didn't miss a beat in the ALCS.

I hope you're right on Mattingly getting the boot. Terrible manager. While they're at it they can get rid of the GM,Zaidi, also. His additions before the deadline were some of the worst I have ever seen for a team competing for a division crown. Been a Dodger fan for about 45 years and almost embarrassed to admit it.

a clueless dodgers fan. Friedman made those move.

Is that old ass Larry King behind the backstop? Did he come to the game by himself, or does the lady seated next to him simply have no interest in trying to hide that she's "not really that into him"?

I'll be shocked if the Mets beat the Cubs.

Goodbye Donnie Baseball; you will not be missed. What a waste of two of the best starters in baseball.
