Here's an interesting article from the Atlantic. It is long, so, some of you may be tempted to either dismiss it because of the slant of the publication, or you may bail because it's long. I thought it was fairly even. There was participation from Jeb Bush in the article, and several of the people quoted are very close to Jeb. If they were speaking out of turn they'd be anonymous, or not speak at all if warned off.
Like any woman of a high profile man Columba has clearly had unfair accusations against her. She's struggled to deal with keeping her family strong in the public eye.
Will Columba actively campaign? If she does will she be very carefully managed, or will she campaign with zeal? The past seems to say no.
I do find it interesting that she did not attempt to get US citizenship until 5 years into her marriage to Jeb. The quote is, "It was difficult". Was that out of context? Did she mean leaving her Mexican heritage behind was a tough decision? I don't know. But, it's the kind of thing the right would have gutted Michelle Obama over.

I don't know how long she had resident status here before she married Jeb, but she may have had to wait several years before she became eligible for naturalization. I think it's only 3 years for married people now, but when my wife became a citizen it was either 5 or 7 years. We're about the same age as Jeb & Columba, so I'm guessing it was about the same for them.

Barbara Bush was in the White House for 4 years
Laura Bush was in the White House for 8 years.

Jeb Bush will not win the nomination for the GOP,
so his wife has no worries about living in the White
House.

I dunno but I've seen the kind of good looking youngster hotties millenials that George p bush hangs out with here in Austin

I dunno if they are working with him or just groupies

Mail ordered bride?
No - she was a foreign exchange student at my school. She went home in June, and in October I drove down and lived there until we got married in December. We got her resident visa approved in January and we drove back to Iowa.

So you were students together or you were her teacher?
