Does Iowa have to win analytics game on Saturday

If it is a 14-14 game, it would appear that both teams have likely been held to 2 or less explosive plays, as Phil Parker would call them?

And, there are plenty of Bill Connelly's out there picking against Iowa weekly?

Iowa continues to play good, mobile QBs week after week. One is going to catch Iowa at some point, right?

Let's not forget Iowa is also a young team, though two leaders are back as Super Seniors to lead the Hawkeyes defense.

Purdue had a young defense, in 2000, when they won the Big Ten. Yes, they did have an experienced QB, as well.

Iowa is 5-0, the Hawkeyes have played two road tests and played two of their better games, especially QB Spencer Petras in the second quarter at Iowa State and throughout much of the Maryland game, after he settled down with his throw locations.

Penn State has played four straight at home, and they did win a 16-10 game at Maryland.

Can Iowa start fast, like each of their two Big Ten Games?

34-6 over Indiana
51-14 over Maryland

What will see with Penn State?

Iowa lead 24-7 at the half last year?

Wisconsin and Penn State were 0-0 at half in Week 1.

Prior to that game, Iowa, at Nebraska and at Minnesota were all loses for James Franklin's team.

QB Sean Clifford did lead Penn State to a 17-12 win in 2019. Iowa was not as strong at LB in 2019.

This Iowa team is better offenses?

Better special teams and defense, but Penn State seems pretty high on their own defense and team.

We shall see on Saturday. Something is going to give on Saturday with one of these teams.

There are no ties anymore in College Football.
