3 losses most likely - 1 PSU, 2 Ohio St, 4 Iowa.
RU will have it's best team in it's history (yeah, yeah) and will finish higher than 7 Minny and beat Minny at home..

Show me when any college any year faced 4 teams ranked 1,2, 4, and 7 from the previous year's tourny.

PS- you can buy a great lower section ticket for about $20/seat. RU will finish in the top 5 again in attendence. Not sure if thats good for RU or shows how limited College Wrestling is outside of the Big 10 and a few other schools.

You know you're on an Iowa board right?
1,2,3,7,9,10 last year

All at home ?
I'll save you the trouble, Luther, No, not all at home. But excellent nevertheless.
Home 2016 for Iowa
#1Pennn St
#2 Ohio St
#13 Wisconsin
#9 Nebraska

total = 25 (4 top 13 teams)

RU total = 14 (3 of the top 4 teams !) 4 top 13 teams)

So I submit, RU's home schedule is better than Iowa's 2016 scheduel

That's a good schedule for Rutgers fans to be excited about, hopefully you guys pack the house when the Hawks come to town!

We had a near sellout last time Iowa came in, maybe 3 years ago. I sat about 15 feet away from TnT and got to watch their 'theatrics'. They were very talkative and fun with the fans that sat near them. They obviously were not worried about losing. RU actually had the lead after about 4 or 5 bouts, but then you guys pulled away.

Luther, I have been posting on this board for about 4 years ! lol
I have helped out with the Iowa match PbPs since I have the BTN package for All Schools. I AM a College Wrestling Fan, but RU alum and fan.
Growing up in NJ near the Lehigh Valley , I have seen hundreds of kids who made it to the NCAA tourney, have been to Steve Mocco matches at Blair, my HS was 7 miles away from Blair, and been to countless NJ States (they draw about 40,000) since 1968,
Saw Suriano win 4 State Championships, Jordan Burroughs, Frank Molinaro, Don Pritzlaff, and other NJ NCAA champs.
Dude, there are a lot of wrestling fans out there.

How about 2012-2013 Iowa schedule? By the way your style of calculating the toughest schedule puts teams like Iowa at a disadvantage because we are consistently top 4 whereas Rutgers isn't.

Show your work. And yeah I get the fact RU isn't a top 10 from last year. But from our vantage point , wrestling the #1, 2, 4, and 7 all at home is unbelievable.

Check out the Gopher home schedule from last season. I'll wait...

That's the #1,2,3,4,9,13 and 16 finishers from that season. The finish of the season in question > the finish of the prior season for purposes of strength of schedule.

It didn't take too far of a reach back to dispute your historical claim (all the way back to last season). The thirst for relevance is real in NJ :p

This has me wondering...who has the best non-conference home schedule of all time (or at least recent history)? I honestly have no idea.

Abro is good people.

But since we r on HR....ill bet u a $100 to HWC that RU loses to the goofs in a dual??

Have another scotch and water and let me know.

The Gophers might beat Iowa next year. Here is their projected lineup, not a top tournament team but they should be very competitive in duals.

125- Lizak
133-McKee
141- Thorn
149- Bleise
157-Short
165- Wanzak
174-Pfarr
184- Webster
197- Steveson
HWT- Striefel

I stand corrected !
I was only looking at Home Schedule, but still, that home schedule is crazy.
#1, PSU, #2 OSU, #3OkSt, #4Iowa, #9Nebraska, #13 Wisc

Did your attendance break a record with that schedule ?

So, I used the Google and I just found myself back here.

https://www.google.com/#q=Does+RU+h...me+schedule+in+history+of+College+Wrestling+?

Anyway, it's a great schedule. Perhaps that's why Suriano is tranferring there...

LOL, not sure how those Suriano rumors got started, I think on a NJ Wrestling Facebook site, but until he comes out and denys it, I guess those/us nutty fans will have fingers crossed.

Heck 2 of his classmates at Bergen C might be starters for RU this season, Joe Grello and Kevin Mulligan.

Good for you. I love to see the enthusiasm coming form other parts of the country. It is time the wrestling fans from around the country step out of the shadows and claim their proud heritage. Great to hear from you and keep sending your high energy posts over to this board. (We lost Sammybrk today so we can't afford to lose you.) :)

Not to stomp on your campfire, but I do not see that line up beating the Hawks in a dual.

When Maryland and Rutgers joined the B10 a few years ago their schedules were similar, all of the top tier teams were visitors.
It's the conference marketing itself on the East coast and many of the top tier teams like it that way.
