Musk, the world's richest person, spent more than a quarter of a billion dollars helping Trump get elected president in November. Removing the crash-disclosure provision would particularly benefit Tesla, which has reported most of the crashes – more than 1,500 – to federal safety regulators under the program.
You didnt see this coming and along the same line Vivek, Musk's Govt cutting the budget buddy, said that one item they were looking at was to cut a million dollar grant to a musk car competitor. Musk is just a rich leech

Whether or not this is positive or negative hinges on what this part of the article alluded to, and what it looks like in the end:

Excerpt:
"In addition to ditching the reporting rule, the recommendations call for the administration to "liberalize" autonomous-vehicle regulation and to enact "basic regulations to enable development" of the industry.

In an October Tesla earnings call, Musk called for “a federal approval process for autonomous vehicles,” rather than a patchwork of state laws he called “incredibly painful” to navigate."

I know we're supposed to read "musk wants to do away with requirements so people can die driving Tesla's and he can go about BAU."

Reading the article, it doesn't look that simple. Could be a loophole for autonomous driving manufactures to kill people without fear of repercussion, or could be that once they do what they want to do with federal regulations it's just redundant and, as they call it...excessive. It's not a secret what MSN wants us to think.

All EV’s not just Tesla should be classified into different studies and laws because they weigh 1000-2000 pounds heavier than like a standard Honda Accord. This puts collision test, guardrail and bridge rail requirements into limbo because of the increased weight.
