Maryland has as much talent in the top 7 of their rotation as any team in the country so to suggest they are a fraud is quite the exaggeration. It will come down to how well they get along and how well Turgeon coaches them throughout the season but make no mistake that team has a ton of talent and if playing well is as good as any team in the country. I think this score speaks much more to what the B1G is about this year and how deep the conference is. PSU has slowly but surely made strides with their coach and its only getting better on paper with their incoming recruits next year. There literally isn't an easy game on the schedule except perhaps Rutgers and even they had a couple upsets last year in conference, so really there are no gimmes in this conference.
Seen this story from them already at home against Georgetown, who isn't good and Rider. Rider's also 3-9
Apparently PSU didn't have an answer for Diamond Stone. 39 points including 19 made free throws and 12 rebounds (8 offensive).
Give the Nittany Lions credit though. They're on the upswing and are going to likely upset a few teams this year.
