Its prolly talked about in other threads, but I'm surprised the 4 seed still in play after last night, which felt like a must win. If osu beats Ill, and we win sunday, we get the double bye. Keep your head up!

Possible, but highly unlikely....last night, Iowa played like it was the first game of the year, not the 30th. Undisciplined, and when they got down early, they seemed to try and get it all back at once.
Connor when he shoots in rhythm is not a bad shooter, but when he thinks about it and double clutches, he can't hit the broad side of a barn.
Weeze is pressing, he's trying to do too much and driving into double teams, it's a recipe for disaster and we saw it last night.
Fredrick is doing what a freshmen should be doing, but Iowa needs him to play and act like a junior or senior and he's just not ready for that yet.
Garza started the game like he wanted to get the Iowa scoring record over as soon as he could and was rushing his shots. He settled down after the 10 minute mark in the game but by that time Iowa was no longer in the game. Purdue had completely taken Iowa out any chance for a come back, controlling the boards and hitting last second 3's.
Purdue plays physical for sure, but it wasn't by surprise, Iowa knew that going into the game and Iowa played soft. That happens way too often under Fran and his staff.
Fran is stuck in his ways, he hasn't lost under 11 games in his 10 years at Iowa, not a recipe to be valued very highly.
Defense is just a 7 letter word that Fran throws aside and dismisses as an unnecessary aspect of the game. At some point that has to change if us fans want Iowa to be a contender for a Big Ten Title, as of now, even if everyone comes back next year with the National Player of the Year leading the way, Fran has to get his players to buy into playing defense and learn to rebound.
If not, ground hog day may only come on February 2nd of each year , but at Iowa it shows up every year in February and March as well.....

We all need to become the biggest OSU fans on Thursday. Let them do their work on the Illini and then let us have our chance. Stand behind the team, for once and for all!

Except now it is in the hands of other teams. We had the opportunity for the double bye in our hands, and we flushed it away.

ESPN’s BPI says OSU has a 79.8% chance to beat Illinois. Not sure about the point spread. So we’ve got that goin for us
