Theirs was worse. I think they were up 12 with 45 seconds left. And theirs was definitely a choke. They couldn't even inbound the ball.didn't UNI do the same thing in the Big Dance last year?
They forgot how to dribble in that last 45 seconds.Theirs was worse. I think they were up 12 with 45 seconds left. And theirs was definitely a choke. They couldn't even inbound the ball.

That was great too but I remember that 87 game with IA IL IN PU all in the top 6. And the smugness of the Illini players when they thought they rolled us. Wiped the smirks off their faces. At ku
Not really a big UNI fan, but still think they got hosed by the refs in that one. Guys getting forced out of bounds with no call, and then touch fouls on UNI on shots by Texas A&M. But yeah, that was bad. They forgot how to dribble in that last 45 seconds.

Hawks coming back against the Illini in 1987 down 22 on the road is my favorite comeback ever.
That was my second favorite. My favorite is still the game at MSU immediately after Street's tragic death.
The strange thing about that road win by the Hawks at MSU first game back after Streets death...most Iowa fans don't recall it after all these years - what the recall much better was the Hawkeyes beating Michigan at Carver the 2nd game back instead. I've had them argue with me that it never happened.
