Down goes Hall

I was just trying to make the point that Meyer should get the credit here. That's all - I didn't give the "question" comment much thought.

BTW, I don't understand Cael at all - Hall should have redshirted to give him an opportunity to have a Cael-like career. I'm seeing a pattern here.

I get your inuendo but no, that isnt the reason the redshirt was lifted. Cael felt massive pressure from the message boards to lift the shirt and felt with the way tOSU was wrestling and Cortez out for the year that it would be prudent to ask Mark if it would be alright with him. Mark said yes. The look that Meyer had on his face when Mark came out made me say to myself Oh, Ok this might not be the right moment and meyer proved me right. Kid's a stud- when he wants to be.

I saw that look on Meyer's face too. He looked offended I thought. After having watched Hall at the Scuffle and having watched Meyer for several years, never did I entertain the thought that Meyer would win. Never so GLAD to be wrong. Meyer showed what he was made of. Keep it up and end your career on a High Note.

I know the talk about giving Hall a Carl like carreer controversy about whether to pull the redshirt vs not pulling the red shirt. Carl had a red shirt year but was 20 when he won his first title. Hall is now 20 now so Carl and Hall are same age. If Hall is to keep the pace he would have to wrestle as a true freshman since he was red shirted in jr high so he could get 6 high school titles after he lost his first try in Kentucky.
By comparison neither Hall nor Carl were or are on pace to Dake who did this without a red shirt year and won his first title at 19.
Regardless I don't see Hall winning this year and if no injury may not win a title until he is 21. Dake had already won 3 titles by age 21.
I know the comparison was between Carl and Hall and not Dake...

Great point about Dake! Add to it that he did it at 4 different weights & didn't dodge Taylor.

Well if Hall did feel pressured into wrestling this year and is unhappy about it, he still has his redshirt to transfer to say an Iowa or tOSU and use his redshirt next year.

The first match of Lincoln was against Ohio State, he was put on his back for 5 points but won the match. I do not remember the score.
