I was under the impression that one or two Hawks were going in the first round. What happened here? I really thought Jackson would go in rd 1. I was at the draft earlier and was expecting a black & gold player to go.

There was never any expectation or proclaiming that any clones were going in round 1. There sure was a large contingent of hawk fans wondering what happened. Jackson wss one of 4 players left in the green room when the round ended.

Feeling good because no Hawkeye football player was drafted in the 1st round ranks right up there with my love of wrestlig. I could care less. I actually thought Jackson was going to go around pick 15-20. I was hoping the Cowboys would take him.

Just got back from the draft and didn't look for any other threads. I want to know what happened. You know Jackson is pissed to be sitting in the green room at the end of the round. He was on stage before the draft with all of the top prospects. They introduced all of them.
 
With the exception of McKnight, Gallery and Beathard, all the Iowa players have been undervalued in the drafts for as far back as I can remember. NFL blows.

Or maybe he meant that they outproduce their draft selection? It really shouldn't be a difficult concept, but so many apparently simple things seem to be very difficult for you.

Meanwhile ISU players are always valued juuuust right - as premium burger-flippers and elite gas station attendants.

It does seem the NFL does not value our players as highly as we do. That said, I still think we will see 4-5 Hawks drafted with two of them, (Daniels & Jackson), hearing their names called early tomorrow night.

That was brutal. North Dakota State has had a 1st rounder and ISU hasn't. Having said that, those are two teams we should NEVER lose to.

Well Jackson only had one year of college tape compared to the other three that got drafted.

Well, for one thing, 2 O$U d-backs went in the first round and between them they didn't have as many INT's as Josh Jackson. One difference is O$U corners are always on an island (man-to-man) while Iowa corners get more safety help due to the defensive scheme.

Mike Mayock had Daniels as the 17th highest rated player on his board, so he was the top player left undrafted for the last 15 picks last night.

Don't worry, both will go sooner than later tonight.

Gotta love ISU fans. They are so pitiful that they come to a rivals board to troll about the lack of a first round pick, when they have had only one in their entire history and that was in 1973. Can't make this stuff up.
