Drew Miller, Mediapolis IA, #1 ‘24 kicker nationally

No comment on this, but that’s quite the assumption considering they haven’t offered anyone and considering what other schools offered or would have offered if we were interested.

in January 2020 the Iowa coaching staff offered Tory Taylor a full ride scholarship. Was this the first punter under Kirk Ferentz where they did this? IIRC, for every other punter they brought into the program, they had the kid walk on first.

Personally, for a 5 star punter, I think there should be an exception to Kirk's "rule."

The funniest part of this is Georgia was tied for first place with Florida in the least amount of punts in the 2022 season. Meaning he'll likely be the least used punter in the country throughout his career.

Using the data set of 1-2 years or 1 player isn’t a good idea, though if you’re good enough the NFL will come calling. Jake Camarda, drafted out of Georgia in 2022, averaged 47 punts/year over his 4 years. You don’t have to punt 80-90 times to get noticed. Average for most schools is probably mid-50’s.
