How many times in the last two seasons has Iowa been called for a phantom hold that has killed what looked like a significant drive?

We have last night, NDSU in 2016 where we would've scored a TD. I know there has been one more time this year and a couple more in 2016 as well.

I am not saying there is a conspiracy against Iowa, but it is awfully convenient.

Penalties tend to kill drives; especially for a team that struggles with long distance downs.

The real question is how many holds have we been called on vs our opposition? It seems like more. Maybe we aren't teaching our OL to hold and get away with it. Maybe we aren't teaching our DL how to fall down and make it seem like you fell because you were held. It's just like soccer and flops or basketball and flops...teams that flop get more calls because it reinforces idea in refs head that he may have missed something.

Both NDSU and Northwestern on the long Daniels TD runs in both.

Why on earth would there be a conspiracy against Iowa that favors Minny?
Just a conspiracy against Iowa in general.

Iowa went almost an entire season's worth of games between their opponent being called for holding here recently....................all of our opponents were holding.

Probably not. Holding is one of the most inconsistently called penalties in football anyway. Right up there with PI and defensive holding.

Yes, OP. Just like you said there is a conspiracy about vaccines and big pharma. What are we gonna call this one? Big football?
