The drone stunt as practiced
by Time Magazine and the
South Korean Olympics is the
next frontier in successful Iowa
gameday marketing techniques.
And if Gary Barta knows what’s
good for him, we will be seeing
one soon.

I think the water tower was his solution Lute. Especially with paint on two sides.

But I like your thinking.

I'm referring to something like in this video. Would be pretty cool to see a giant Herky in the air over Kinnick at halftime of a night game. We have to get the first mover advantage on this bc I can see other schools doing something like this in the near future.

What ever you are smoking.......count me in!

I thought this was a Zepplin with oars sighting over a HS football practice in Edina.

FYI, a lot of drone shows are not done live. FAA has regulations about flying drones over crowds of people. The 2018 olympic drone show. Not live. The 2017 super bowl drone show. Also not live.

Jennifer Carney, vice president of Aspen’s marketing team, said the cost of a drone show—which Great Lakes Drone Company usually charges between $15,000 and $25,000, not including customization—is comparable to the traditional fireworks displays.

I mean, you just can't pass this up
Well I would be curious to see how much customization is? I'd rather have fighter jets fly over Kinnick about 12 feet above our heads or maybe even put 25K in a garbage bin and burn it- we could watch the fire.........point being, I think we could find a better way to spend 25K
