Bacon has led FSU in FGAs in all 5 games so far. Except for the loss at DePaul, Bacon has launched 17,18,17, and 15 shots in 4 early contests. Its clear that he has the green light.

I think the Baconator steps up his ball hogging against Iowa...... bigger TV audience, B10 opponent, former Oak Hill teammate Andrew Fleming on the other side ........ Dwayne will be motivated to show the world who is boss. He may need to steal the ball from a teammate to get there but I predict a minimum of 20 FGAs vs. Iowa. So which Hawkeye gets the defensive assignment?

Gotta make 'em take bad shots as neither Bacon or Beasley will stop shooting.

Rebound, limit the fast breaks. I don't think it matters who guards them but the help and recover is going to have to be perfect.

Bacon 14 shots. Beasley, 12.

If I were a dirty coach I'd say the first time either penetrates put them on the ground, hard.

I don't foresee any Bill Lambeer tactics but I do think this game has the potential to get a little chippy ..... a couple hard Woodbury picks, a sharp elbow here or there, a little extra on tie-ups and/or loose ball scrambles...... OK I'll go ahead and predict it: Fran gets a T this game.

There is something to getting in a scorer's head. The legal way would be for Uthoff or somebody to get out on the shot and throw it back in their face. I always liked what Olson used to say about these types, don't worry about stopping them, just make life harder.
