Thought Laux was gonna be our guy at 25. Looks like Bowman at 97 next year and Holloway 285 again til. Stoll is back. Whenever that may be. Unless they have Costello go as a TF but I doubt that.Hopefully he has grown up and can take advantage of another opportunity. Speaking of transfers, our there any stud 125 and 197 grad transfers available for next year?
maybe, but he doesn't appear to be on the rosterThis is an interesting plot. Wasn't ODU where Jack Bass went who was supplying the pills?

I don't know if Laux can still make 125. I was thinking more in the lines of competing for a title next year. We have 4 guys which should score around 80 points. The other 6 weights need to score at least 30. One top 4 type transfer would really put us in the hunt.Thought Laux was gonna be our guy at 25. I like the way you think, champ. Many of us had mentally thrown in the towel for next year. Would be ironic if next year turned out to be the year the Hawks got back on top, given many of our expectations.I don't know if Laux can still make 125. Bass was removed about as quickly as he joined. And the plot thickens.
Good luck, I guess.
I see Papa Stroker recently followed Martin. But isn't class started everywhere a week or more ago
Will his pharmacy credits transfer?Best of luck to Early.. hope he makes the most of it.
Rough road ahead fellas. This board might completely melt down next year. We will have the obvious studs vying for titles (Sorensen, Kemmerer etc), but some serious holes at other weights. Our collective patience will be tested. Ah and then the 2018-19 season. Let the good times roll boys!Thought Laux was gonna be our guy at 25. Where's Zalesky when you need him?

The only question for Jammie is whether he wants him at Minny more than Nebraska or vice versa.Finished 21st last year...hey, maybe he is all in for the Minne job. Since you talk about him all the time, perhaps you should put in a word for him.
I did. I thought JRob got a raw deal. Early was one of the guilty. I hope he left because there were consequences.LOL Oh, no, you didn't!
Sounds to me like the wrestlers/violators had no respect for the coaching staff. And you'll NEVER convince me the coaches didn't have some idea of what was going on long before the shit hit the fan.I did. I thought JRob got a raw deal. Early was one of the guilty. So Eggum to Iowa State and K.J. to Minnesota it is!Sounds to me like the wrestlers/violators had no respect for the coaching staff. And you'll NEVER convince me the coaches didn't have some idea of what was going on long before the shit hit the fan.
This is my reasoning why Eggum has no chance at the permanent gig. The new AD knew he couldn't axe the entire staff before the season, so JRob was the first one to go. It isn't helping that this attrition has occurred during the season. Add in the fact that the team is severely under performing right now and likely only has 2 AAs and the outcome seems obvious to me.
I just LOVE reading both forums and the continued hatred for the Hawks. Pretty much any objective wrestling fan in the world realizes Terry Brands is likely one of the best potential head coaches in the country... if he ever indicated a desire to lead a program himself. So Eggum to Iowa State and K.J. to Minnesota it is!

ISU or MN would be exceedingly fortunate to have Terry heading up their programs. They may not admit it, but they know it. Not that I'm suggesting he should go anywhere. . . .Sounds to me like the wrestlers/violators had no respect for the coaching staff. wouldn't surprise me if they AA at 25,41,97, 285I just LOVE reading both forums and the continued hatred for the Hawks. Yet reading both forums... the hatred and envy of the Hawks forces both fan bases to continually degrade and criticize Terry(we would never want that guy running our program).
To me... it's their loss, if that's really the way they feel.
As both schools approach a head coaching hire... Iowa fans continue to appreciate the great combination we have. ISU and Minnesota are seeking relevance and stability. Deep down both schools would kill to be in Iowa's shoes.

And sneak another in at 133, 157, or 165.
LOL! No.And sneak another in at 133, 157, or 165.
Your take is wrong, but u don't care. You said it yourself that nothing will convince you otherwise.Sounds to me like the wrestlers/violators had no respect for the coaching staff. And you'll NEVER convince me the coaches didn't have some idea of what was going on long before the shit hit the fan.

While I don't predict it to occur, weirder things have happened at the National Tournament. Who saw Moisey AA'ing let alone making the finals?LOL! No.
