Spoke with a good number of players today.

Started out with Tory Taylor. He said he has gotten a good response to his punting is winning shirts. Loves seeing them in the stands on Saturday afternoon. He said that the reason he chose the charity for still born children is due to what happened with Brian Ferentz child, which I thought was pretty cool. He said the ISU game was actually on TV down in Australia, so his folks didn't have to stream the game. Taylor also joked about being 1-1 in passes and didn't rule out running the football sometime.

Lot of talk about the run game with the offensive linemen and Goodson. We were able to speak with Linderbaum and Connor Colby from the line. Linderbaum being vocal in the room. Said he has done that this year to help bring along the younger guys like the veterans did with him. Still have confidence in the run game moving forward. Said they can still find ways to beat extra players in the box. Goodson said the same thing. He said he just needs a small area to run to and then when they play that aggressive he can break a long run. Lot of emphasis this week on the run blocking and getting that part of Iowa's offense going.

Petras said that Maryland plays a lot of single high safety, which is kind of like Michigan State. Said they go between a 3-4 and 4-3 from time to time. Sure sounded like there might be some aggressive play from Maryland, which would result in some down the field passes from Iowa. FWIW, asked Ragaini today and he raved about Keagan Johnson and his speed. Said he is the fastest guy on the team.

Talked to Koerner about the Maryland offense. He said they aren't a team that likes to drive the ball. They like big plays and taking shots. Impressed with their receivers and their backs. They do throw to the backs a good amount. Also have to account for a mobile quarterback. Kind of compared him to Purdy in that he's smaller and more mobile.

Will have more rolling out here before we have Kirk Ferentz at 1:45 today.
