What a joke of a post by an uneducated (definitely not an Iowa grad) tool. Your lack of any medical knowledge makes you a great critic of the CDC. While they made mistakes, the overall work has been for our benefit. If you had called out the WHO, you'd have much more support as their errors have caused greater harm.
2nd, you don't blame our leadership at all? How is it that other countries are seeing their numbers drop dramatically while we're increasing? Others are beginning to slowly reopen while we've got states shutting down again. You can blame China but our response (or lack of) is on Trump. Ignoring inept response is ignorant and shows a complete lack of awareness or just ignoring the spade.
but they were alive with those pre-existing conditions and they catch covid and now they are dead . sooo what caused the death ? not rocket science .
I know 2 people that have been hospitalized for 3 to 4 weeks. Both late 40's to 50. One had to be placed in a coma to save him. Both are out now, but yeah, this can be serious even for those under 60. By the way, neither had pre existing conditions.
The flu can be serious, strep can be serious, a multitude of things are serious.
Still doesn't change the facts. If you are under 60, in IOWA, your statistical chance of DYING from this virus is almost zero.
At some point we need to be real. This virus, like dozens of others aren't going away. Heart disease (650,000 deaths), cancer (500,000 deaths) aren't going away.
Society can't provide "safety" for everyone, never could never will. We must learn to exist with the dangers of our environment.
Closing down our economy is NOT a good idea, $8 dollar milk and $8 bread, food lines and shortages are our future on that path.
Hiding from a .06 micron virus is never going to happen. IF you have a vulnerable immune system, a virus, this one or any number of others, a cancer of some type will get you at some point.
We weigh our risks everyday. We'd never leave the house if we didn't.

They were not only not shut down, they worked covid cases. Did you watch their video? Or any interviews they had?
Many doctor rebuttals by doctors working in the field? Please provide a link, so I can nitpick them. I have seen plenty of "internet" doctors provide questionable advice, but not doctors actively working with patients.
BTW- hospitals around the country have laid off health care workers, ignoring things like cancer screening and heart disease tests.
Just one example but the American College of Emergency Physcians and the American Academy of Emergency Medicine condemned it. The problem is that you cannot find any peer reviewed arguments that support these guys nor can you find credible associations that support them. They were losing money like most hospital systems but they privately owned these facilities. You're so wrapped up in conspiracy theories that you can't discern what is a credible resource, a skill taught in college which I doubt you attended.

And people say presidents don’t matter. Trump’s ‘leadership’ in this pandemic is atrocious. He’s so eager to start the economy, he’s putting us in a deeper hole. Im concerned a major recession is on its way and It could have been prevented with even average leadership.

Why don't all the talking heads on tv news shows wear a mask? They sit in the studios with each other and say everyone should but here they are without any. We would still be able to understand what they are saying. Why don't those beautiful people wear masks on air? They want us all to wear one when outside the home, so time for them to start doing it.

I think we should all be required to wear earplugs to Iowa games due to crowd noise. Hearing loss can be awful. There should be a state law to do so. Maybe we can black out the big screens whenever there is a replay we don’t like. You cannot wear anything but Iowa clothing to home games, if you don’t you will not be allowed in the stadium.
You have the reasoning and critical thinking skills of a 3 year old. And you should probably be required to wear a helmet everywhere you go.

Earplugs would be for the protection of the person wearing them. Which is not the reason facemasks are being promoted. Have you ever seen surgery performed before? Do you think the surgical team is wearing facemasks to protect themselves from the patient? Businesses in the state of Iowa should be required to mandate no mask no service. Hell, we require seatbelts which is far more intrusive than masks since not wearing seatbelt doesn't have any effect on others.
Don't be dumb - you don't inhale/exhale the virus alone. It's attached to droplets (which are much larger)
