It would be one thing if they decided they are going to let everything go, but they are being so inconsistent. You can mug Garza, grab players on screen but take a dig at Cockburn or make him miss a shot and it’s a foul. This would be a hell of a game if the calls weren’t so one-sided. Hopefully the second half is better.

It’s embarrassing at this point. Illinois allowed to shove, grab, etc. Iowa can’t touch Illinois without getting a foul called. If fouls were getting called evenly we might be winning this game.

It's not even basketball, it's rugby on one end and touch fouls and phantom calls on the other.

Sorry, but I can think of 6 points Illinois got, that were absolutely illegitimate.
Steal from JT by Cabello can not be a steal by definition. It was a Jump ball. Last foul, an anticipation call and not a foul. Pass on the steal by Cabello early in the game. He dragged his pivot foot a good foot. They are definitely determining the outcome of this game.

I think most realistic fans would admit we benefitted from some iffy calls late in the wisconsin game.

I dont think it is a coincidence that we got those calls, Gard blasts the officials to no repercussion, and now we cant buy a call last night or today. Either someone put a bug in the officials ear about the wisconsin game, or the refs are subconsciously trying to make up for it. Its not a deliberate screw job, but I think these last two games is a direct result of last sunday.
