Bettendorf state champion Ella Schmit commits to the Iowa women’s wrestling program
The state's premiere women's high school wrestler announced on Saturday that she plans to be a Hawkeye.

Any word on faith Cole of Lafayette Wildwood? She is going for her 4th state title in MO in a couple of weeks and has been a national champ/world team member and won (age level) pan am a couple years ago I believe. She was at the PSU dual last week and would be another great get for the hawks.

I've been keeping my ear to the ground recently on this topic but have heard almost nothing. Now I am no insider, mind you. There's got to be others on this board with better info than me - please post what you hear... some of us are stir-crazy for rumblings and rumors! 😅
What an outstanding young lady, bright and so well spoken. I have not seen her wrestle , but I am absolutely certain she will be a great competitor and great addition to the Iowa program. Welcome aboard Ella, I cant Wait to watch these girls get after it. Go Hawks!
