Ohio State should be embarrassed. Zeke should sit the bowl game out. Driving while suspended is a serious offense.
Seems to me it's a loose ship over there in Columbus. First EE runs his mouth off to the press when he thinks he deserves more carries. Other key players saying publicly that they're leaving the program. Coach, at least publicly, condones the behavior. Prostitution, DUI/OUI, now this. Every football team has some issues, and the Hawks have had a few of their own over the years, but not sure I'd send my son there. I'd begin to wonder about drafting this kid as well.
The best OSU punishment would be t o play bowl game and suspend them next year. It's not like EE could declare for draft. That has never happened before.
Well, the good thing in this whole mess was that he was able to go pick up a new car right away at the Ohio State University Car Dealership. Why doesn't the University of Iowa have their own dealership? OSU is just more efficient in every way than we are.
Earlier this season, Ohio's starting QB, whoever that was, got picked up for Driving Drunk. Now, that's a pretty serious offense. Urbane Meiers made him sit out, one Non-conf game. One.

I would say no punishment...it was a stupid individual mistake that kids make, no doubt about that. But, no drugs or booze involved.
It's just another example of the lack of focus OSU displayed this year. That lands at Urban Meyer's doorstep for certain. My gut feeling is too many me's and not enough we's on the squad.

If this had happened at Iowa, a suspension would follow. Driving w/a suspended license is a serious offense.
Urban will hug him on national TV...produce a few tears...and tell him how wonderful he is...and how much they all love him. (Won't mean it but it is good for recruiting)

I am sure had someone died in the accident EE would have been suspended for at least a quarter in the Fiesta bowl, but, no harm no foul apparently. I guess that is the difference between elite programs and Iowa. Kirk tries to lead by example, and they just want the win and any cost. I personally think Kirk is a little hard at times, but he has the no tolerance policy.
I thought Urban's teams were well disciplined. This is why they didn't win the B1G. It's the little things people, the little things.
Iowa suspends Peter Jok indefinitely following second arrest
Following his second arrest in a three-month span, Iowa rising sophomore guard Peter Jok was suspended indefinitely from all team-related activities, the school announced on Tuesday evening.
Jok's first offense was OWI not a ticket for speeding, 59 in a 55 in Elliott's case.

Yeah we all should know that. Just answered his question about being suspended. But the second time he was not drunk and story states he was arrested.
EE also failed to appear on two bench warrants and the third no show to pay his fine was a no show so the court turned him over to collections and suspended his license.
Didn't know that about Jok. I'm having some difficulty working up a good righteous anger. Perhaps it is because he was on a moped and only .087. Only damage he would do is to himself. (And his ego for riding a moped). Question. Is it illegal to ride a bicycle while drunk?
Agreed, it's really not. If you've done it multiple times that is one thing. A single infraction though is not a big deal.
I know in Iowa it comes down to the county. Some county attorney's prefer them to be arrested others want them to be issued citation for appearance in court. That being said with Meyer's history I doubt we see anything done to him.
Could get a public intox for riding a bike drunk but that's it. Needs to be motorized to get an OWI like the story of guy getting one from riding a motorized bar stool or guy driving his lawn mower on city streets hammered can get them.
EE has the attitude of a guy that will crash out of the NFL and then play the victim card when he goes bankrupt.
But how many unpaid tickets, and of what sort of tickets, does it take to get to a suspended license? Not being a dweeb, but wouldn't it indicate a basic lack of respect for authoritay?
