They needed someone to take the fall is my guess. So, they picked someone unimportant and entirely expendable.
Karolne Leavitt took to the WH lawn this morning and lied, saying Gleason had been in charge for weeks, even though yesterday she could not name her, and DOJ lawyers couldn't declare who was in charge of the program they were defending.
