End of the NCAA?

Minor league football here we come. I wonder if they will even be required to go to school anymore.
Will you have kids there only for football and live off campus and are paid through NIL along with kids that go to school and are paid through scholarships. Should be interesting.
I would be ok with separating football from the schools. what to do with other sports? who knows

I swear some people are destined to ruin the whole damn thing.

It's like a car heading straight into a brick wall.

I am 100% for ruining the whole damn thing because brian ferentz. just kidding. really I am 100% against the sec ever having another win nor am I wanting the SEC to make money. I guess I have a thing against the SEC. but that's not healthy really. having a hatred of a conference.

nobody watches the G league. As soon as the student is gone is student athlete, it's over.
They are already paid generously for the most part. Any all conference, all americans should be paid NIL. The rest aren't worth shit and haven't earned shit.

For that matter, Caitlyn Clark should be the highest paid college athlete now and likely for a very long time. There is no athlete that changed the game as much as she has. Ticket prices alone bare that out.

NIL removed any doubt that college football and
basketball are no longer amateur sports. The Big Ten
Conference now has 18 universities in many of the
major TV markets.

Bottom Line: College Sports is about making money.
It is going to get much worse as the rich get richer and
the poor go out of business.

Why pay a middle man?
Seriously, whatever unearned skim the NCAA takes off of the massive revenue streams generated by big boy FB and BB would make a mobster blush. While I have certain misgivings about the giant amount of money involved in big time D1 athletics...it doesn't make sense to me that the do little NCAA banks the profits that they do off if it. Give it to schools, the athletes, etc, not to some stuff shirts.

There have been rumblings for a while now that the SEC and B1G want to form a league similar to the NFL whereby there’d be two super conferences (SEC and B1G) with “divisions” within them. They’d pull in a few teams from the ACC and Big 12 like Clemson, Florida State, Oklahoma State, etc. The rest would be SOL… aka, more of a minor league type look and feel.

It's dumb, people will rationalize it by pointing at some TV dollars like it actually benefits them personally.

I’d just like to see some equity. Numerous instances of inconsistencies on decisions. Drew Ott being denied another year of eligibility was a huge injustice, as well as the recent gambling suspensions, in state of Iowa only, seemed very unfair.
