The lead should be no more than 35 words. Preferably keep most around 20.
"When students returned to EHS on Tuesday, there was an abnormal amount of Iowa Hawkeye black and gold roaming the halls. Though four and a half hours separate Iowa City and Edwardsville, one could have mistaken EHS for a high school in the heart of Hawkeye Country. The reason for such unspoken spirit day: AJ Epenesa had finally committed to the University of Iowa."

On Jan. 17 (or whenever it was) AJ Epenesa made his dream a reality.
“I chose it for me,” Epenesa said. “I just enjoy it. I’ve always had a deep love for Iowa and it has been a dream ever since I was little and so now it’s finally becoming a reality. It’s something I’ve always wanted.”
then get into the rest....(and yes I get it was a student newspaper. But, i'm hoping maybe they see it here and learn a bit)

Thanks for posting the link Hawk-it, an other great story for what seems to be one outstanding class act of a person. Hope his commitment will help lead to a few top tier recruits.

Anyone else get a little choked up reading the part about how they told Ferentz? Recruiting process is such a long road and so much work goes into it, has to be a great feeling for Iowa staff.
Honestly, having read for a while about how important family is to the Epenesas, my gut told me all along he would be a hawk but that doubt always creeps in because you never know what someone else is truly thinking.
