Pulisic denied a sure, brilliant run and goal on a block by...Giroud.

EDIT: Not this time:

More looking forward to the MLS Eastern Final, Columbus Crew vs New England Revolution today. Can’t get into any European games without Americans. I’m spoiled.

Arsenal certainly emerged as the worst of the big 6 this weekend as manu & manc moved into the top half of the table.

Just came to say the same. Weird that 1-1 vs the reigning champions feels disappointing. Robinson was tremendous.

It's really good to see how well they've been playing the last month. If they keep it up, they should be able to get a win or two in the next 3 games

It's been a fairly quiet holiday season for the American's overseas. But today had 4 Americans playing in the 2. Bundesliga game between Gruether Furth and the iconic FC St. Pauli. Julian Green has been enjoying a renaissance season, and at his age, still has time to return to the setup with a very crowded 2021 international schedule. He scored one of the goals today in that match won by GF 2-1.

But one of the goals of the season in any league has to be from 19 year old Texas born Leon Flach for St. Pauli.

Yep. FC St. Pauli fan who woke up to watch that one this morning. Green scored a PK. Didn’t even know where he was. Sadly, the wondergoal from Flach wasn’t enough.

If the buzz is to be believed, it looks like Ozil is finally leaving Arsenal, for Fenerbahce.

Please be true!

In case you missed it, the Hawkeyes can lay claim to an international star in a major European soccer power. After drubbing Chelsea 8-0 on aggregate in the quarterfinals of the Women's UEFA Champions League, former Hawkeye striker Cloe Lacasse nets the first ever goal in the Portugese Women's Cup Final AND assists on the second. See thread here (Post #4 for highlights)....

Serginio Dest going for his first trophy with Barcelona, in the Spanish Supercup Final on ESPN. Barca haven’t won a title in almost three years.

UPDATE: Dest is subbed off in the second half, Barcelona blows a 2-1 lead to lose 3-2.

Anyone getting worried about Pulsic's situation at Chelsea? Does not seem to be favored at all.
The bigger issue is that he can’t seem to shake nagging injuries. Tuchel seems to know this and not want to feature him like Frank did. Only uses him in cup games where an unplanned sub might be less an issue and he is part of a “B+” squad. I don’t blame Tuchel honestly. After he scored and then injured himself in the FA Cup Final last year, Chelsea were lost. The USMNT shouldn’t be counting on him to stay healthy either. It will be a happy surprise if he makes it through qualifying and the finals unscathed.
