Anyone else see the twitter war that Eric Graham (former Hawks running back) is waging on Hawkeyes football? He is calling the coaches racist...if you haven't check it out, his handle is @EricGraham22
Sorry I went back through and looked again, he actually retweeted some other guy who said "The Hawkeye Football program is built upon a foudation of systematic racism. Don't let the outliers fool you." No idea who this other guy is.I looked at them but didn't see where he said they were racist.
Those are 5 minutes you won't get back. LOLI can't believe I just wasted 5 minutes of my life looking through those tweets.
Irony can be so Ironic. LOLAnyone see the irony of this after the "Floyd of Rosedale" game?
Eric Graham was undersized, not recruited and given a chance by a major program at the last minute. He couldn't cut the mustard and he chose to leave the program.
It's hard enough for talented players to get early PT under Ferentz, let alone the lower ranked recruits.
Is there any word used more than "racist"
It amazes me it's the disgraced players or the ones that left early who complain about ferentz...

Yes but it's only them, you never hear 4 year players who graduated from Iowa complaining. You don't hear Bernstein complain who got rabo from coach Doyle,Why? Aren't those the ones you'd expect to complain?

He also called himself the Colin Kaepernick of CFB, for what its worth.
I like how he said that the coaches are hard on the players. What does he expect them to be? Of course they are going to be hard on the players. This dude sounds like an attention hog and kinda glad he didn't last at Iowa.I feel we have 7 rb's that are 10x the player he is. What a waste of time.
That's a pretty big leap my friend ..... a former player making ambiguous twitter complaints about the Iowa football program could mean........ a possible terrorist style attack at Kinnick Stadium? Will he lash out in other ways? This isn't me trying to incite panic, this is me worried about going to the game on Saturday with my family.

I would be more worried about eating the stadium hot dogs.
Yes, of course I agree that if Graham is depressed, resentful, angry or otherwise mentally ill, I hope he gets the help he needs. In that regard, maybe there is a coach or player still on the team who can reach out to Graham and engage with him to find out what's going on. However, you feared for your family's safety at an event attended by tens or thousands of people and that implies your concern for the possibility of an indiscriminate event involving mass injuries or casualties. As I said, its just something I wanted to point out. You failed to acknowledge why I took that "leap". I'm far from a pessimist or unrealistic worry wart. I am genuinely concerned with the things he is tweeting about, especially considering he is saying he will be in Kinnick on Saturday. Didn't at all say terrorism, just could do something he regrets based off the tweets. Before you disagree, go read them for context.
1.) He is tweeting about "not going out sad" like one of his friends
2.) He will be at the game and was saying so in a condescending manner
3.) He was tweeting about the team plane and karma right around each other
4.) Continually saying "this isn't a game" or "you all will see"
4.) Repeatedly tweeting about getting day drunk/other drugs
5.) Repeated "time is ticking" tweets
6.) Multiple other concerning tweets/replies that suggest he isn't thinking rationally
I just wanted to point out these concerns. Forgive me for trying to at least make people aware of it. How many terrible situations could have been stopped if someone pointed out indicators? That's all I'm doing. Not saying the kid is going to go mass terrorist, just that he might do something he will regret while in Iowa City and it is preventable.
That's what I'm getting from it....sounds like Kirk might have pull and respect in the football community...nothing shocking there. It's been pretty well documented....and why would Kirk lie about his opinion on somebody when his own rep would be on the line...if he did question this kids character it would seem by the tweets he may have nailed this one imho.Could it be that a coach interested in him talked to Kirk about his character and what kind of person he was and Kirks response led to the team discontinue his recruitment?

I'm a proponent of safety and caution when it comes to my family also, I just don't see anything in his tweets which would make me think twice about attending a game at Kinnick. I respect your judgment and freedom to read it differently and to take whatever steps you feel necessary in order to protect your family. No one would hope your concerns come to pass. Peace.
In today’s world it’s easier to simply blame others for where they have failed. It amazes me it's the disgraced players or the ones that left early who complain about ferentz... I mean if the Iowa staff was so racist why are these former black players coming back to be captains?? Eric is disgruntled and sometimes the easiest thing to blame is everyone but yourself
