im listening to ESPN recaps and the announcers are mispronouncing Jarrods name. These guys are paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to do their jobs. Uthoff is one of the most talked about players right now. There are what 20-25 players in that group. You would think they become familiar with someone's name before going on air.

They mispronounced it all game on the BTN broadcast as well.

Uthoff is pronounced U-toff. I repeat, U-toff. Not U-doff. He's not Rudolph the red nose reindeer.

Clowns like Seth Davis, Vitalis, Jock-itch are stunned with IOWA's emergence and their
unpreparedness & arrogance is kind of glaring, right now

Are we really arguing U-Toff vs U-Doff?

The difference is probably just the way you hear it.

First off I don't think anyone is arguing or obsessing. It's a comment on a message board. You have got to be kiddin

Second. Are you serious? Like really are you joking? When someone mispronounces your name wouldn't you address it. Especially if they are paid to do it.

Are you serious? Relax my man, sometimes names are pronounced differently depending on accent or dialect....my name gets pronounced three different ways and its no big deal to me

Meh, more excusable than the B1G announcers in the pregame calling CHA "Hawkeye Arena"

That's pretty funny. You'd think they'd struggle with the "U" much more that the "T"!
