GO HAWKS
It is for naysayers.I think pretty much everyone but K and Calipari miss on targets. Not like its insulting to state the truth.
#27 and a first team all state player in Indiana and a finalist for Mr. basketball was not even a 3 star player. Still wondering how many stars Jack would have received if he had signed with Indiana. Love the new class and can not wait for the basketball season. Especially at my age.
Hopefully not, if the boys on the gridiron curb stomp Wisky, Neb, and the Wildkittys, and take the west! This is going to be the longest off season I can ever remember for basketball.
Very Interesting..........Not many people realize that Nunge lived in Iowa City when he was younger. His dad was a physician at UIHC and took a job in Indiana back in 2009.
Not to beat the preverbial dead horse, but this is why Woody was such an important recruit, no matter what people believe his contributions were. Fran showed that he would work tirelessly to go after top talent no matter who else was in the running. After Woody won the MVP award at that NBA sponcered big man camp and UNC offered, it was a big deal to keep him in Iowa. Fran went to almost every game Woody played in, and got the ink. That kind of effort, which was missing before Fran shows his resolve. Not bad, not bad. Future looks good - keep it up!
When Fran was first hired I knew that recruiting would be a tough road to hoe given where the program was, but it seemed like Fran was a workaholic, and figured his efforts would have to start paying off. Hope things only improve from here.

Shocked me that we ended up #27. That's a pretty good job by Fran and company. I think they have 2 solid big men coming in and a guard who "scouts" seem to be high on. I think Nunge was the surprise of the class and how he was a 3 star is beyond me. The kid is legit and will need some work. But he has the "skill" set to be one of the greats at Iowa. It might not show next year, but year 2-3-4 will be solid.
I think overall Fran is doing things the right way. Now if the current group can take strides and get better. This team could be pretty legit next year. The only downfall is the Big Ten is going to be LOADED next year. Iowa might end up 7-8th but with an overall better record than this year. Wins in the Big Ten will be tough next year!
If Iowa finishes in the 7/8 range, it will be a serious disappointment for nest season, IMO.

Nice WOB, I'm guessing our student section in the Hawks Next will not show up if we play that poorly
A typo is not a WOB.
