Well deserved. We said last week get it done in Madison and be ranked. Hope they keep this going and don't have a hiccup down the road. Our defense is much better than I thought. Love the bend but don't break. Honestly, I think we have a little bit more difficult schedule the everybody thinks now that the season is starting to open up a bit.
Hawkeye ball makes a good point: Purdue nearly knocked off MSU yesterday. Indiana was on the OSU 10 when its game-ending drive failed in a 34-27 loss. And, of course, Illinois scored 14 points in the fourth to nip Nebby 14-13. So yes, Purdue, Indiana, and Illinois are showing more life than most expected. But as all of us should know by now, every week is a new week in college football, but there are no cake walks. The Hawkeyes have earned it on the field, and that will continue to be the case the rest of the way. But just as there are no cake walks, there is no one -- including NW -- that Iowa cannot beat. So already having won 5 of 5 and taken 2 trophies in 2 tries, Iowa has nothing to fear.
It's been pretty interesting so far, and it promises to be a little wild the rest of the way, but as some of us said weeks ago, this team seems to have the character and the heart of a champion. We'll see how it plays out, but this Hawkeye team has earned everyone's respect.

Beat the Illini and NW, (and I think we will), you should easily be ranked in the top 15 and in control of the B1G West.
