Fock
HIGHLY unlikely at this point....Gonna stay one more year to play with his brother.
Gonna stay one more year to play with his brother.
My post was more wishful thinking. I guess I needed an emoji.I think Kenyon pretty much said the opposite on this site. Who can blame him? It's a great job by everyone, most importantly Keegan, to get to this point.
I tend to agree with you here. The only issue might be the "age" factor, and I don't sense the need for money as with many others leaving early.Gonna stay one more year to play with his brother.
The "need" has nothing to do with it, and I'm in no way speaking for any of the Murrays here. The playing another year with Kris sounds great, but what does it really mean? They've played together their entire lives and thats going to end either in a couple of months or next year regardless. Leaving for the draft this year APPEARS to place him firmly as a lottery pick. Big$, and a guaranteed contract with still more miles left on the tires. Staying another year at Iowa would lose him a years worth of $, the possibility that he COULD drop in the draft, and could face some type of career altering injury. To come back for what? I mean we'd all hope he could make the difference an lead Iowa to a final 4 or something, but is that really probable? I'd really have to believe if he gets a top ten grade in a couple of months he pretty much HAS to go....I tend to agree with you here. Yeah. I think Kenyon has made it pretty clear on here that, should either of his boys project as first round picks next year, that he would encourage them to follow their dreams into the NBA.The "need" has nothing to do with it, and I'm in no way speaking for any of the Murrays here. Keep dreaming.I tend to agree with you here. The only issue might be the "age" factor, and I don't sense the need for money as with many others leaving early.
Of those players I have seen projected in the current draft, he is the next to oldest already.Gonna stay one more year to play with his brother.
Keegan is gone, 100% gone. Kris could potentially get a 2nd round look I suppose (the NBA is all about potential), but he would be much better served going the Keegan route and hope lightning strikes twice for the Murray Family under similar circumstances. No one who's projected to be a lottery pick comes back.
More likely scenario is both twins go pro.
But do you know what their favorite movies are?Keegan is gone, 100% gone. Off the bench one year, NBA 1st rounder the next. It is definitely NOT out of the question that could happen for Kris. Keegan is the better all around player currently, but Kris doesn't have to be better than Keegan, just better than everybody else trying to make the NBA. It would not shock me in the least to see this scenario play out.
The best part of all of this is the Murray Twins from the outside looking in, appear to be fine young men and great representatives for Iowa Basketball on and off the court, and more importantly great representatives for their parents in how they were raised.
Yeah. The Godfather and The Outlaw Josie Wales. Just like everyone else dumbass. But do you know what their favorite movies are?
NepotismIf Kris makes it in NBA, not playing as Freshman and being a bench guy his sophomore year must mean he is not a good practice player
We'll see how it plays out.Keegan is gone, 100% gone. Kris could potentially get a 2nd round look I suppose (the NBA is all about potential), but he would be much better served going the Keegan route and hope lightning strikes twice for the Murray Family under similar circumstances.

Really? I would be surprised to see Kris project as a first rounder this year but I suppose it's possible. I keep thinking that Kris hasn't really had the chance to develop and show out against high level competition but then again Keegan was in a similar situation last year having played only a few minutes more per game than Kris is this year. He was already projected by many to be a first rounder in the fall so I guess it's not as unlikely a path as I was originally thinking. Kris' numbers are really very similar to Keegan's last year, perhaps even a scoche better so it will be interesting to see what happens. We'll see how it plays out.
Wouldn't surprise me at all to see Kris projected as a first rounder at the end of the season.
Keegan will help Kris projection.
I think having his brother in the lottery will increase his exposure a good deal.Really? I would be surprised to see Kris project as a first rounder this year but I suppose it's possible. Kris is certainly a draftable prospect. The question is does he think he can be a great prospect.I think having his brother in the lottery will increase his exposure a good deal.
Hes 6'8 with 6'11 wingspan. Can shoot 3s, defend multiple positions and rebound.
That's exactly what the nba looks for in their complimentary players. 3 and D.
It's all about how good scouts guess he will end up.
It wouldn't surprise me at all to see late first round projections at the end of the year.
I think the most likely scenario is he returns to Iowa though.
I would agree with everything your saying here.Kris is certainly a draftable prospect. The question is does he think he can be a great prospect.
If Keegan really wanted to, he probably could’ve came out last year and gotten drafted. Not lottery high, but drafted. I don’t think NBA scouts were pushing him to leave early because they thought he could improve and be a great prospect. The decision to return is going to get Keegan a lot more money sooner.
Kris could get the same boost on his first contract. It all depends on whether he thinks he can take over for Keegan and improve as a scorer in Iowa’s system. Iowa has a good track record there, but there’ll be a lot for him to sift through after the year.
You mean the guy that leads the team at 41% and shot 3 of 5 the last game? That guy?The bricks he's been throwing up from 3 lately aren't going to help Kris' draft potential. I really think he comes back and goes for a top 10 look next year.
He ain't come here to play practiceIf Kris makes it in NBA, not playing as Freshman and being a bench guy his sophomore year must mean he is not a good practice player
No, I'm talking about the guy who went 0-3 vs Rutgers, none even close. BTW I want him to keep shooting it, I like Kris Murray's outside game. You mean the guy that leads the team at 41% and shot 3 of 5 the last game? That guy?
I remember when clown fans laughed at giving them scholarships. The NBA really should consult with clown fans before each and every draft pick for here to the end of eternity.Gonna stay one more year to play with his brother.
