Evelyn played a great game against Ohio St.
He made 3 three pointers and had a steady
floor game on both offense and defense. His
15 points tonight are the difference between a
a win and a loss against the Buckeyes.

Congrats To Evelyn on his performance

I would agree with your comments and hope it is an indication of his play down the stretch. IF so, Hawks could be pretty tough.

This is where grad students start playing every game like its their last...my line of the night. Bakari played well against the Goophers too.

But its true every year in the tournament. Some kid comes out of nowhere to play like a werewolf in Van Helsing. Bakari could be that kid.

Honestly, I liked how Pemsl played.

Led team in rebounds, 1 assist less than Connor and a couple steals. For a while, he seemed like he was everywhere.

Pemsl really really really needs to work on his weak-hand shot and going to his weak side. Garza had made himself equally dangerous from either direction. Pemsl has some moves, but just needs to get to where they are natural, and you don't even have to think about what you're doing.

He's upped his play quite a bit. I thought Pemsl, JT and BE all played well above their seasonal norms. Really put OSU away for most of the game.

looks like he’s gaining confidence finally with the increase in playing time. Couldn’t come at a better time.

His best game since his freshman year at Notre Dame after Cook broke a finger.

“I’m back!”

I think BE and JT are pushing each other to see who will be the "primary point" at the end of games, with CM being the other ball handler. It may just be the "hot hand" of the night. The last couple games, it's been all BE late. I wonder if that holds the rest of the way. I think if they're close, you probably have to give the nod to the senior in a close game in March.

Lots of variables in player evaluation. All things equaling out, you play the upperclassman. For certain.

I like how both BE & JT are playing. They seem to be improving all the time....

The whole team is growing. Should be a great run down the stretch!

To use a phrase my dad liked to use, "we would be up shit creek without a paddle", if Fran hadn't signed Evelyn. Great game tonight on both ends for Bakari.

Great to see Pemsl gaining confidence. Sure nice that other teams don't seem to come with a game plan for when Cordell is in the game.

Cordell was a good low post scorer fresh and soph seasons, very good freshman year. Can't imagine the aches and pains he has for such a youngster.

If Cordell really is just catching up from the injuries and returns to pre injury form the Iowa front court gets a lot better. Cordell has certainly played better the last couple of games.

I’ve been really critical of both CP & BE all season.

Deservedly so imo.

But they both played great tonight. And Pemsl played good against Minn.

It would be nice to see them both be solid in 3 of the final 4 games.

Evelyn will be remembered as the
insurance policy when Bohannon
went down with another hip surgery.
