I don't think we're a top 10 team, but I think we're capable of beating about anyone in the country on a given Saturday outside of maybe Alabama and Clemson.
We're probably not quite as good as our win over Indiana looked. We're better than Wisconsin. 10 games in Happy Valley probably ends in a 5/5 split. We're lucky we got ISU pre-Purdy and without having played a game yet. All in all I'd say 6-2 is about right. The ball bounces our way a bit more and we're 7-1.
The difference with this year's team vs. the 2015 Rose Bowl team is I think this team's ceiling is higher. We have 4 winnable games to get on a run here, and I think we'd feel very fortunate and confident if we're 10-2 heading into the B1G title game.

Dude. The SEC has won 9 of the last 12 national championships including 7 in a row from 06-12. Both SEC teams won their semifinal game, something the bten has done once. If Iowa had a QB it would be undefeated and in serious CFP discussions, If Iowa even had CJ on 1 leg this year they would be 8-0 . Stanley plays scared against good teams and his accuracy is about as good as a 12 year old trying to fire a .50 cal . Iowa's TE's and WR's have been getting open far better than past years and the pass blocking is imporved, CJ would carve teams up with this years offense . That's the hard facts of this years Hawkeyes and next years team too since it will be saddled with another year of Stanley. 2-9 4th qt against the Badgers and many missed open targets , PSU even worse .
I think Stanley has a case of the NFL's. He played loose his first season because he had nothing to lose. He had a great year, and the NFL talk started to creep in. Now he plays scared in prime time because the opportunity cost is much greater. I think this extremely poor performance may help him because it set his NFL prospects back somewhat to a level there's nothing to be nervous about. The NFL is still certainly very much a possibility and still very likely, but I don't think he's going to be putting as much pressure on himself moving forward.

I agree don't complain about bias. I do think complaining about the bag men running the $EC is fair. The hoops scandal isn't just a once sport deal.

Agree, some of these posters need to abstain from parenthood because they'd be throwing the baby out with the bath water too often.
The SEC bias doesn’t have anything to do with elite teams like Alabama (and possibly LSU this season). It has more to do with mediocre teams (like a 3 loss Miss. St.) staying ranked simply because they are in the SEC.
