Coach Izzo's carefully cultivated "father figure" persona has taken repeated hits over the past few years. I bought it his first couple of years as head coach. Now, he is just a whiney, selfish, manipulative, little prick.

By the way, the amount of heroin found in Keith's vehicle at that time could have provided dozens of "hits" to drug users.
Appling was named Mr. Basketball in 2010 as the state's top high school player. He played for Michigan State from 2010-2014 and had two brief contracts with the Orlando Magic. He then played professionally for teams in the Dominican Republic and Argentina.

Cannot imagine this hard core life of crime commenced after HS commencement. Cannot imagine Appling's conduct was entirely unknown during recruitment. This is the kind of guy that McC would not be allowed to bring on campus. Hubbard killed that for everyone, although obviously Appling is an extreme example and no one should want this gangster on their campus.

Sorry, but I don't see what him having some talent has to do with anything? NO ONE should behave in this manner whether they can play ball or not. Him having talent is probably the main reason he had been allowed to skate by with this type of behavior until recently, when he doesn't have old Tom and the athletic dept. to cover up his misdeeds.....

“Gang Rape #1” claim - Izzo never “investigated” this alleged incident. It wasn’t reported to him. Neither did police, as the claimant didn’t pursue the matter w/ police. The Plaintiff didn’t name the alleged rapists in her lawsuit (they’ve never been formally named), she filed a claim against MSU (specifically the Counseling Center). Travis Walton was never hired as an assistant at MSU. He was involved in an altercation at a bar, he was charged with a misdemeanor - which is the norm when there are differing witness statements. MSU had some MASSIVE failings with Nassar (a College of Medicine employee), they were blinded by all his achievements & they ignored ppl being sodomized. Gruesome. They also had significant issues with Title IX reporting & w/ their Counseling Center - but to be factual, reporting to the police was not an issue. Oh, and Austin Robertson probably should have never made it on campus. Perhaps next time try using Google & not being so damn lazy and spewing inaccuracies & complete lies. If you want, you can review the records of the US District Court - Western Division of Michigan, 54-A District Court, & the Ingham County Prosecutor’s Office - they’re all available.
Btw, you do realize all schools have issues, right? Whether it’s Pierre Pierce, Rhabdo, racism, etc., each school has its own skeletons. PSU, MSU, OSU, & UM have all had major scandals due to sexual misconduct of employees. Let’s not be obtuse, childish, or idiotic to believe anyone’s hands are clean. Everyone has sad/disappointing/revolting instances to be ashamed of over time. It’s all about doing better & trying to avoid making heinous mistakes.
