Unsurprisingly, both parties show a bit of partisanship. But Republican partisanship is measurably more extreme:

I believe that in our current state of civilization, a person’s grasp on the facts of reality is inversely proportional to their level of consumption of information from outside of their immediate surroundings.
 
Democrats in 2016: "This is OK."
Democrats in 2018: "This is OK."
Democrats in 2020: "GDP dropped 33 percent."
Democrats in 2022: "This is OK."
Democrats in 2024: "This is OK."

Republicans in 2016: "Democrat is president, therefore things are terrible!"
Republicans in 2018: "Trump is president, therefore things are awesome!"
Republicans in 2020: "GDP dropped 33 percent, but Trump is president, so things are awesome!"
Republicans in 2022: "Democrat is president, therefore things are terrible!"
Republicans in 2024: "Democrat is president, therefore things are terrible!"
