F’ing Cardinals

Maybe need to let almost everybody into playoffs and seed by win percentage.

maybe some sort of percentage penalty for team that caused cancellation.

The Seattle Mariners are the only current
MLB franchise that has never appeared
in a World Series.
George W. Bush prefers baseball games
outside.
The San Diego Padres, Colorado Rockies,
Texas Rangers, Tampa Bay Rays, and
Milwaukee Brewers have all played in the
Series but have never won it.

Two World Series Championships in 30 years. None during a World War like those scumbag Yankees, Red Sox, and Cardinals opportunists.

Somebody is a Cardinal hater. I guess I would be too if my team was in the NL Central and had to compete with the Storied Redbirds each year.

Cardinals aren't bothering to fly to Detroit. So those 4 games are canceled.

Not a hater. I think it’s great that you beat (checks notes) St. Louis for a World Series Championship in 1944. Very brave.

Friggin' A. I finally get to watch some Redbird ball and we have to postpone at least 8 games. If they went out to a casino, they need fined.

Not sure why the infected teams causing the games to be cancelled aren't forced to forfeit.
This is why they are going to push for 7 inning double headers to catch up missed games. Canceled games mean no TV revenue. My initial reaction is the same as yours. If you can't play, and you can't bring in your reserves from your taxi squad, then you forfeit the game. But, the owners won't go for that. They want every game they can get on TV.

I started another thread about this, but I have no clue why their taxi squad was not bussed to Milwaukee to take the place of the MLB club.
Maybe they didn't want to potential expose taxi squad players to individuals that had been exposed to positive tested players. Thus potentially infecting the taxi squad as well.
Or they didn't have enough non infected players to field a team even with the taxi squad.
Or the final possibility Brewers don't want to play them at all and risk being off a week like the Phillies.

While I agree with assigning the loss, what about their opponents? Do they get free wins just by virtue of where the games fell in the schedule?

I'd say yes, the opposing team gets the win,.. and if it were up to me I would also hit the forfeiting team with a fine for every game they failed to play...
