The UI Alumni Association has organized several events in Minneapolis that may be of interest to those making the trip.
Hawkeye Welcome Party in Minneapolis -- Partnering with the Iowa Football Club and the Twin Cities Iowa Club, the University of Iowa Alumni Association is hosting a Hawkeye Welcome Party from 5-9pm at Bar 508 (http://www.bar508.com/) in Minneapolis on Friday, Oct 7. The event features a number of activities to raise funds in support of the Brett Greenwood Scholarship, including:
• "$30 for 30": For a $30 donation, receive autographs and a photo opportunity with legendary Hawkeye quarterback Chuck Long and former Hawkeye and current Minnesota Vikings linebacker Chad Greenway. The autograph/photo session will run from 5 to 7 p.m.
• Silent Auction: Items include a football signed by former Heisman Trophy candidates Randy Duncan, Chuck Long, and Brad Banks, and a framed, limited-edition 24" x 36" photograph of Hawkeye quarterbacks.
• Raffle: $10 per ticket or five for $30 - Prizes include two "Hawkeye Game Day Experience" packages (an invitation to tailgate with the Iowa Football Club and two game tickets each for the Wisconsin and Nebraska games) and a football autographed by Hayden Fry.
