Fan Events in Omaha/Lincoln

Several fan events for those traveling to Nebraska --

The University of Iowa Alumni Association (UIAA) is co-sponsoring a pregame rally starting at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 26, at DJ’s Dugout Sports Bar in downtown Omaha, 1003 Capitol Ave. Admission is $5 and space is limited to the first 500 fans. The TVs will be tuned to the Iowa men’s basketball game against Dayton.

On game day, the UIAA and the National I-Club host the Iowa-Nebraska Hawkeye Huddle, presented by ICAD for Iowa's Creative Corridor. The Huddle begins at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 27, at Embassy Suites in downtown Lincoln.

Embassy Suites in their main lobby area had beer on tap last time and it was like 32oz cups if I remember. The Hawkeye Huddle was back in a corner ball room, I believe it was bottles for purchase if I remember?

The best time I had in Lincoln was wherever the Sidetrack Band is. They do all kinds of songs about the game, Huskers, their opponent, etc. Pretty funny and get the crowd involved. The band is like in their 50s, but they keep it lively. That's where I would go.
