Looks like the brackets changed since last night. Dow and Kanniard were scheduled to wrestle each other in the first round, but not anymore.

Nelson is relentless! Wonder where he gets that?
Whether he places top 8 or wins it all there are more than a couple guys in the bracket that can test him. A lot of these dudes are free/greco specialists.
Dow was ranked #61 in November and Brands was #80 for recruiting class rankings. Dow was ranked #50 in the recruiting class rankings by flo and Nelson was #93. This was there latest ranking done in March. So the gap ranking wise has widened.
Franek and Kanniard both ranked higher as well.

Intermat has Dow at #14 at 160 and Nelson at #10 160.
Most potential of any high school wrestler in Iowa.
Cass doesn’t look particularly great in red and white checks (does anybody?), but he just picked up his opponent and planted him in 14 seconds.
I was trying to find his match, wow, 14 seconds. Imagine traveling all the way to Fargo to get a Cass whoopin in 14 seconds?
Go to FloArena brackets and set up alerts for Mat assignments and results of the wrestlers you want to follow. Very slick and works great. Highly recommended.

Brands won 10-0 in 44 sec.
Happel will take on a ranked opponent, Cannon next round. He’s already knocked off one ranked guy. Little Cassioppi nearly beat Mosha Schwartz. DeVos will take on Yapoujian. Brands vs Braunagel. Some solid matches!
Pretty much all the Iowa guys that you though would win, have so far: Blockhus has spent a minute on the mat...Broderson looks good, Schriever, Biscoglia, Runyon, Shapiro, DeJong, Brands, Sarasin and a few others.
Cass wins 11-0. Broderson takes on Devin Winston next round.
Another Cass whooping. I hope he gets the blue singlet next time though. The red one hurts my eyes.
Iowa Jr FS looking very good. Down to round of 16, and they have 20 guys still in championship bracket, second only to Illinois.

Yeah, I’m interested to see how he would match up with him! He’s gotta get past Garcia first.
Nelson had a nice toss in his second match, if you haven't seen it.
Biscoglia, Sarasin, and Shapiro are all Pablo. Brands is Eastern Iowa Wrestling Club. Schriever is in Sebolt's. Not sure on the rest of the guys, but it's good to see several clubs across the state producing.
I don’t think Cass likes to wrestle. He just wants off the mat ASAP.
Seems like he's slimmed down a bit since we last saw him competing in HS, but maybe that's just me. It will be interesting on seeing where he ends up, we have a need at 157 it appears...
