I think it's appropriate on Selection Sunday to share our favorite (or least favorite) bowls and why.
I'll start:
Favorite: Orange Bowl - Miami is just such a GREAT party town; it's a NY6 Bowl; the atmosphere around the stadium is great for tailgating.
SECOND TEAM: Outback(Tampa) Bowl - Tampa is fun with great beaches. Tampa isn't quite as fun as Miami but still neat. Also has nice tailgating area.
HONORABLE Mention: Citrus Bowl
DISLIKES: tragically.....Rose Bowl. This is largely due to Pasadena/LA not being a great party town. Second and more importantly, the Rose Bowl needs a massive renovation. I am 6'2" and the bleacher seats are so short and close together that I was in physical pain watching the game. Add in terrible restroom facilities and it really takes a ton away from the experience. Only things going for it are it's status as the Grand Daddy of them All and the San Gabriel Mt view.
Pinstripe Bowl- I will never understand why the B1G would contract with a bowl north of the Mason Dixon line......enough said.
